RISING VOICES

Oxford choir Rising Voices are a fantastic group of singers who meet on a Thursday evening in Oxford. The 'in house choir' for Oxford Folk Weekend, we get great opportunities to perform! The choir sings mostly folk music, but this is not set in stone and other genres do pop up from time to time! We are always looking for new singers.

CECIL SHARP HOUSE CHOIR

Since 2020 I've had the joy of being the musical director of the Cecil Sharp House Choir, run by the English Folk Dance and Song Society. We sing folk songs from the UK and elsewhere, often in arrangements made by me, especially for the choir. The choir is about 60 strong, is un-auditioned and is for confident singers who are able to hold a tune and are keen to perform. There’s no need to read music – all songs are taught by ear. Come and sing with us in Camden on Wednesday evenings!
